Clay baking shared meal by Clara Duflot & Nina Jayasuriya
Fish and vegetables were marinated, wrapped in foil and banana leaves, then covered in clay, shaped by many hands and a good deal of play. The parcels were laid in the embers of a fire started with coconut husks, and left to cook slowly in their earthen shell.
Once taken out of the fire, these edible sculptures were cracked open with a hammer, releasing the fish and vegetables inside.
මාළු සහ එළවළු මැරිනේට් කර, ෆොයිල් සහ කෙසෙල් කොළවලින් ඔතා, ඉන්පසු මැටියෙන් වසා දමන ලදී. බොහෝ අත්වල ස්පර්ශයෙන් සහ සෙල්ලමකින් මැටි හැඩගැන්විණි. පොල් ලෙලි වලින් දල්වාගත් ගින්නේ ගිනි අඟුරු අතර ඒ ඇසුරුම් තබා, මැටි කවචය තුළ හෙමින් පිසෙන්නට හරින ලදී.
ගින්නෙන් පිටතට ගත් පසු, ආහාරයට ගත හැකි මෙම මූර්ති මිටියකින් තලා විවෘත කරන ලදී; ඒ තුළ තිබූ මාළු සහ එළවළු එළියට ආවේය.
